Dry-Type Transformers Buyers
Ventilated and sealed dry-type units from mechanical rooms, vaults and indoor substations. We pay upfront and cover the freight, rigging and teardown ourselves.
Dry-type transformers use air and resin instead of liquid, which makes them the standard choice indoors. We buy them out of mechanical rooms, electrical closets, mezzanines and vaults, and they are the easiest units to move because there is no fluid to contain.

You are paid before the transformer leaves your property. No consignment, no waiting on a resale.
We do not ask you to test, repair or clean anything. We evaluate the unit ourselves.
We cover the freight and the rigging. Lowboys, cribbing, permits and escorts are our cost.
Disconnection, dismantling and removal are handled by our crews at our expense.
What we look for in dry-type transformers
Ventilated dry-types in the 15 kVA to 500 kVA range move fast on the resale market, especially 480V to 208Y/120V step-down units, which are the most common configuration in commercial buildings in the country. Larger medium-voltage dry-types and sealed units are also bought, though the resale pool is thinner.
Coil material is the biggest single variable. Copper-wound units are worth meaningfully more than aluminum-wound units of the same rating, both for resale and for their metal content. If the nameplate does not state it, a photo of the coil ends usually tells us.
